FC Bayern threatens a week-long hanging game

FC Bayern has been trying hard to sign striker Harry Kane for a few days. His club from Tottenham is not playing there yet. And it could stay that way for the time being. In the worst case, Munich faces a week-long stalemate – with a bad outcome.

The Spurs have already received the first two offers from Munich for Harry Kane. None of the offers have materially influenced Tottenham CEO Daniel Levy’s position. The club owner, it is said, would only be willing to pick up the phone and hold further talks from a sum of around 115 million euros (100 million pounds).

The Londoners’ point of view remains unchanged despite the first Munich offers. They want to keep their superstar at all costs. New coach Ange Postecoglou is also planning with the 29-year-old.

According to “football.london”, a one-on-one meeting between Postecoglou and Kane has already been scheduled to convince Kane to stay. However, this should only take place when the superstar returns from his vacation on July 12th.

It is not impossible that the Spurs will agree to a deal beforehand, but it is unlikely. The million dollar poker for the striker could therefore drag on for a long time.

Does FC Bayern improve its offer?

Should Tottenham block further advances from Munich by the said date, according to the report, Kane should set off on the club’s Asia and Australia tour a few days later. Those responsible would have other opportunities to convince Kane of a future in the Spurs jersey.

FC Bayern’s hands are more or less tied in the negotiations. According to “Bild”, the record champion and Kane already agree. But there is still no way around Spurs CEO Daniel Levy, who is considered a particularly tough negotiating partner in the scene.

The only way for Munich to keep poker from becoming a long game seems to be to significantly improve their own offer and go far beyond their own pain threshold.
