7. Winter newcomer
SCR Altach continues to make impressive use of the winter transfer window and signed their seventh newcomer this January. On Deadline Day in Austria, the Vorarlbergers presented David Herold. The 19-year-old left-back is on loan from FC Bayern Munich’s second team until the end of the season.
Herold knows Altach’s head coach Miroslav Klose from the German record champions’ U17s, where he played a total of 28 times under the former striker in the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons. “Everything has happened very quickly in the last few days. I am all the more looking forward to the challenge in Altach and to being able to work with Miroslav Klose again from now on. The first impression of the club and the general conditions is very positive. I want to use my full potential here and help the team,” said the U19 international.

In the current season, the left-footed player, who has been a part of the Bayern youth team since 2016, has played 19 games (four assists) in the Bavarian Regionalliga. “David has been a constant with our amateurs this season. We are convinced that he is ready for the next step and that he will find the best conditions for this in Altach. We are very excited about his development there,” added Bavaria’s campus manager Jochen Sauer.
We still have one: The young German national player David Herold changes from @FC Bayern to the Ländle and strengthen our defense!
