FC Bayern starts training without four stars

After twelve days of vacation, the FC Bayern professionals have resumed training.

Coach Thomas Tuchel started the German champions’ preparation for the second half of the season on time in front of a large crowd of fans in windy Munich.

The injured Serge Gnabry (hamstring injury), Alphonso Davies (back on Wednesday as agreed), as well as the South Korean Minjae Kim, who was assigned to the Asian Cup, and the Moroccan Noussair Mazraoui, who was nominated for the Africa Cup, were missing from the club’s premises for the first training session.

Offensive player Kingsley Coman was back in the session after tearing a muscle fiber in his right calf.

FC Bayern’s league restart on January 12th

Tuchel’s hoped-for new additions to the tight defensive area will be added over the course of the winter transfer period. Bayern will continue the Bundesliga season on January 12th with their final first half game against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. Before that, the second-place team will play a friendly against FC Basel next Saturday.

Munich starts the new year four points behind Bayer Leverkusen. However, they still have a catch-up game to play against 1. FC Union Berlin on January 24th. “We have to keep working on ourselves and keep at it,” Tuchel said.

After the Hoffenheim game and before the home game against Werder Bremen on January 21st, the Munich professionals will travel to Portugal for a short training camp from January 14th to 18th.
