National soccer player Lina Magull (29) is apparently about to move from German champions Bayern Munich to Inter Milan. This was reported by Kicker, among others, on Wednesday, but official confirmation from the clubs is still pending.
Magull’s current contract in Munich expires at the end of the season. The midfielder came to FC Bayern from SC Freiburg in 2018, where she led the Munich team as captain for three years and won the championship twice (2021, 2023).
However, she gave up the position after last season. In the current season, the 75-time national player and vice-European champion under coach Alexander Straus rarely went beyond the role of a substitute.
However, Magull does not expect games at the level of the Champions League at Inter. The club is not one of Italy’s top women’s clubs; the Milanese women are currently in fourth place in the championship, 16 points behind leaders AS Roma.
