FC Bayern | Report: transfer flop was internally considered a “stink boot”

The annoying misunderstanding between FC Bayern Munich and Michael Cuisance ended a few days ago: after two and a half more than disappointing years on the Isar, the 22-year-old Frenchman moved to FC Venice. You will probably not cry after Cuisance at the German record champions.

The midfielder’s departure in the direction of Serie A should have been received rather positively in the club, as Cuisance should not have had many supporters internally. “Behind closed doors” the left foot was even considered a “stink boot” by his teammates. This is revealed by “Bild” reporter Christian Falk in his podcast “Bayern insider“.

In addition, Falk brings light into the darkness regarding the officially unannounced transfer: From Italy it is to be heard that Venice is said to have transferred four and a half million euros to FC Bayern for the services of the former French youth international. Possibly even further bonus payments should have been agreed. In 2019, Munich paid eight million euros to Borussia Mönchengladbach.

No wonder that Falk considers Cuisance to be a “bad purchase” for the Munich-based company. “If Cuisance were a stock, then the price would point pretty much down,” is the verdict.

FC Bayern is said to have received a top offer

According to information from the podcast, however, there was a good chance that Bayern could have made a better deal. Lokomotiv Moscow is said to have offered ten million euros for Cuisance, but the club has not promised the player.

The farewell statement by FC Bayern did not testify to excessive appreciation.

“We would like to thank Michael Cuisance for his commitment in the FC Bayern jersey and wish him all the best and much success for his future at FC Venice”, Bavaria’s sports director Hasan Salihamidzic was quoted briefly when the deal was announced. A voice from Cuisance did not even appear in the Bayern media.

However, Cuisance never made an impression in the Bayern shirt. Cuisance only played 13 competitive games for Munich, only once was he on the pitch for the full playing time.
