FC Bayern | Report: Ban on switching for dream players

In its search for high-quality reinforcement for the defensive line, FC Bayern has probably suffered the next rejection. At least that’s what “Sport Bild” reported on Tuesday afternoon.

According to information from the specialist magazine, the German champions are said to have signaled serious interest in Nordi Mukiele. The 26-year-old is considered to be flexible defensively and plays for his club Paris Saint-Germain as both a right-back and a central defender – when he is allowed to play.

In the past few weeks he has only played the role of a supplementary player at PSG, mostly having to line up behind top dog Achraf Hakimi on the right defensive wing.

Although Mukiele was only allowed to play in four games across all competitions this season, he should be on FC Bayern’s list. As is well known, the Munich team is still looking for a new right-back who could also be used in the center of defense.

As the media report goes on to say, Paris Saint-Germain is currently not thinking about selling the defender. Since Achraf Hakimi will be out for the entire first few weeks after the turn of the year due to the Africa Cup of Nations (January 13th to February 11th), back-up Mukiele becomes even more important for his colors.

Mukiele moved to PSG for twelve million in 2022

The Frenchman himself definitely wants to promote himself during this period and to offer himself and play under head coach Luis Enrique.

Nordi Mukiele can already look back on a successful past in the Bundesliga. Between 2018 and 2022 he played a whopping 100 league games for RB Leipzig and scored eight goals.

In 2020 he reached the semi-finals of the Champions League with the Red Bulls, and in 2022 he won the DFB Cup with RB before moving to Paris for a fee of around twelve million euros.
