Real Madrid have apparently reached the next level in the transfer poker surrounding Alphonso Davies and have made their first official offer to FC Bayern.
An oral agreement between Real Madrid and Alphonso Davies has already been reported in the past few days, and the Royals are now said to have made contact with FC Bayern. This is reported by the Catalan online newspaper “El Nacional”.
It says that the Munich team has now received an offer of 35 million euros from the top Spanish club. The broadcaster “Cadena Ser” had previously suspected that an offer of this amount would come.
FC Bayern finds Real offer “unacceptable”
On Säbener Strasse, the 35 million people are said not to have broken out in a sweat on their foreheads. The offer is “unacceptable” for the German record champions, writes “El Nacional”, which also reports that the Munich team’s desired sum is 70 million euros.
Spanish media had previously written about the Royals’ pain threshold in Davies poker. A sum of 50 million euros was repeatedly mentioned here. The Champions League record winner apparently does not want to pay more for a player with only one year left on his contract. It is not known whether FC Bayern would be weak at 50 million.
Real wants to further increase Davies’ offer
According to “El Nacional”, the Royal team’s 35 million euros are just a first foray into poker to understand the defender. Sooner or later, Real will offer a “significantly higher amount,” the online newspaper speculates.
At FC Bayern, they are reportedly hoping that some other competitors will get involved in poker in order to drive up the price. Among those considered interested are Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain – clubs where money doesn’t play a big role.
