FC Bayern has filled the vacant post of sports director on campus. As the German record champion announced on Friday, Halil Altintop will be promoted. “We have great confidence in Halil Altintop. He is in his third year on campus, he knows the club, knows the processes and has more than 15 years of experience as a professional football player. Halil will continue to develop the campus in his function. I’m really looking forward to our cooperation and wish him every success in his new role, which is important for FC Bayern,” said Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic. Altintop himself emphasized: “I am really looking forward to this great challenge. I would like to thank you for the trust you have placed in me and I will do everything to ensure that we can continue our successful work on campus together.”
The former professional and Hamit Altintop’s twin brother came to FC Bayern in 2020 as an assistant coach for the U16s before moving into the front row of the U17s the following year. He took on the role of talent manager for the current season.
