Munich (AP) – FC Bayern Munich is playing a friendly against Manchester City during its trip to the USA this summer. The German soccer champions will play against Manchester City on July 23 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
A number of Munich players at Lambeau Field will see their former coach Pep Guardiola again. The stadium of the American football team the Green Bay Packers holds 81,441 spectators.
After two Corona years, it is again FC Bayern’s first major tour abroad. The first stop on the trip from July 18 to 24 is the US capital Washington. There the Munich team will play against the MLS team DC United on July 20th.
Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic commented on the test against Manchester City: “It will definitely be a very interesting game for fans in the USA and around the world.”
