FC Bayern’s hospital is getting bigger again: As the Munich team announced on Monday, they will have to do without Noussair Mazraoui in the coming games. The 26-year-old right-back suffered a torn muscle fiber in his left thigh during the defeat at VfL Bochum on Sunday, which is why he had to be substituted after just 33 minutes.
In addition to the Moroccan, coach Thomas Tuchel and Sacha Boey and Bouna Sarr, among others, are currently unavailable, meaning no right-back is fit. In Bochum, Dayot Upamecano came on for Mazraoui, but he was shown a yellow-red card in the 77th minute.
Alphonso Davies (strained medial ligament on his left knee) and Konrad Laimer (torn muscle bundle in his left calf) are on the mend. Davies was able to complete exercises with the ball again for the first time, and Laimer worked individually on his comeback.
