FC Bayern no chance? Mega transfer for Ramsdale revealed

Even though coach Thomas Tuchel recently only spoke of a “minimal delay”, it is still not entirely clear when and in what form Manuel Neuer will return to the FC Bayern goal. Now rumors are circulating once again that the German record champions have at least kept an eye on an alternative. However, the rumored transfer fee could prove to be too high a hurdle.

Aaron Ramsdale is said to have been targeted by FC Bayern. This is reported by the Daily Mail. The 25-year-old English national goalkeeper from Arsenal FC, who recently surprisingly had to make do with a place on the Gunners’ bench in the derby against Everton FC, is seen in Munich as a possible future heir to the 37-year-old Neuer.

Chelsea FC is also said to have kept an eye on developments around Ramsdale. However, according to the “Sun”, Harry Kane’s recent mega transfer to the Bavarian capital could speak in favor of a move to FC Bayern. Kane and Ramsdale know each other from the English national football team.

The “Sun” took up the speculation on Tuesday and provided new information. A change in January is not a likely scenario, the newspaper said. In the summer of 2024, however, Arsenal FC could be willing to talk if a club throws a transfer fee of around 70 million euros into the ring.

A move to FC Bayern seems unlikely (for now).

An enormous sum that would immediately make Ramsdale the second most expensive keeper in football history. It seems hard to imagine that people in Munich would dig so deep into their pockets.

Especially since FC Bayern will initially focus on getting Neuer back to top form. In the summer, they also signed a young talent, Daniel Peretz from Israel, as a backup and gave him a contract until 2028.
