FC Bayern is relying on Kieran Trippier in its search for a new right-back. According to “Sky” and Fabrizio Romano, the Munich team have made an improved offer for the professional, who will be at Newcastle United until 2025. According to the transfer expert, that offer is in the region of 15 million euros. Apparently, the FCB’s efforts have not been crowned with success: How “The Athletic“ reports that the “Magpies” have rejected the offer of the same size.

According to reports, the German record champions are now concentrating on the 33-year-old. Nordi Mukiele (26) from Paris Saint-Germain is considered Bayern’s actual plan A, but there is no noticeable progress in the talks between the clubs. The Bundesliga runner-up is said to have already reached a verbal agreement with Trippier. Contrary to what was initially speculated, it is now a permanent commitment and not a loan.

Newcastle has so far insisted on the top performer staying, but financial constraints could lead to a rethink at the Premier League club. However, the English team in tenth place in the table is currently proving to be stable.

“I won’t comment on names because it’s not appropriate and we don’t want other clubs to talk publicly about our players. The positions in which we might want to add more if there is an opportunity are clearly defined,” said Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel recently about the speculation surrounding Mukiele and Trippier. “The situation is tricky, the starting position is tricky. Other clubs have the same goals as us. The winter transfer window is a bit more complicated than the summer transfer window.”
