At Hertha, Noel Aseko Nkili was considered an absolute top talent. The U17 national player scored one goal after the other – and will do the same in Munich in the future.
FC Bayern has strengthened its youth squad: DFB talent Noel Aseko Nkili will wear the jersey of the record champions in the coming seasons. The club confirmed this on Wednesday. He previously played for Hertha BSC.
“He can sweep a team along”
The central midfielder has signed a contract until 2025. In his club announcement, the record champions raise high expectations: “We’ve had Noel on our radar for a long time. He’s an absolute top talent in his year and in his position,” said campus manager Jochen Sauer . “Noel is a fast-moving and technically adept central midfielder who is always able to put his team-mates in the limelight,” added Holger Seitz, sporting director.
Nkili’s mentality is very much appreciated in Munich and should play an important role in the future. “I’m really looking forward to this big challenge and can’t wait to be on the pitch with my new team,” said Aseko himself.
The 16-year-old was the best assist provider for Hertha in the U17 Bundesliga season north/northeast last season with eight assists. In Munich he will initially continue his recovery program after an injury, and he should return at the beginning of August.
