FC Bayern Munich mourns the loss of its long-time president Willi O. Hoffmann. As the German soccer record champion announced on Tuesday, Hoffmann died in Munich at the age of 92.
Hoffmann managed the club from 1979 to 1985, before that he worked as secretary and treasurer at the Munich club.
“In what was a difficult phase for the club at the time, he laid the foundation for FC Bayern to become one of the most successful clubs in the world. We will never forget him, honor his memory and are united in mourning with his family,” said the President Herbert Hainer.
