In FC Bayern’s most recent Bundesliga game against RB Leipzig (2-1), Joshua Kimmich was called back to the right-back position, where he remained largely indifferent and only received a grade of 4.0 from sport.de. The national player has recently been repeatedly linked with a move abroad.
Numerous top European clubs such as FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, FC Liverpool and Manchester City are said to have recently dealt with the Bayern star, who is playing an average 2023/2024 Bundesliga season under Thomas Tuchel.
As Turkish transfer expert Ekrem Konur reported on Sunday, another football heavyweight is said to continue to have his sights set on the 28-year-old. According to the report, Manchester United are still interested in Kimmich, who recently lost his regular place in Munich’s central defensive midfield.
Kimmich has already been traded for the English record champions several times, but none of the tracks have proven to be too hot in the past.
Kimmich became German champion eight times with FC Bayern
The FC Bayern top performer played 27 competitive games across all competitions this season and was only able to score one goal. Kimmich’s working paper at the German industry leader only runs until the summer of 2025; there had recently been no concrete discussions about early contract negotiations.
It is still uncertain whether the Red Devils from Manchester would actually go all out with Kimmich. The fact that the Rottweiler native will definitely stay at FC Bayern over the summer of 2024 is now increasingly being questioned.
Joshua Kimmich has been under contract with Munich since the summer of 2015 and has since won the German championship eight times and the Champions League in 2020, among other things.
