FC Bayern: Matthäus attacks Munich bosses

FC Bayern just can’t get any rest. For record national player Lothar Matthäus, the bosses of Munich bear the main responsibility for the sporting descent.

“It’s not just the results and performances that aren’t there on the pitch. If you’re uneasy in the area, it’s automatically transferred to the pitch. That’s why it’s not surprising because there’s so much unrest in the club,” said Matthäus after the match 1:1 on the “Sky” microphone.

The former Bayern professional attacked the management of the German record champions: “Mané, Sané, the goalkeeping coach was fired, the mole once at Nagelsmann, now from Manchester. Those are issues that are also a point. Those responsible should also communicate .”

According to Matthäus, board boss Oliver Kahn and sports director Hasan Salihamidzic should not only have taken action in the Sadio Mané case, but also openly presented the punishment for the Senegalese.

After Mané hit his team-mate Leroy Sané in the dressing room after the 3-0 defeat at Manchester City, FC Bayern announced that the new signing would be removed from the squad for the game against Hoffenheim and would have to pay a fine. How high this is, was not revealed.

“Say it, then there will be a point after the topic”

“Mané has been punished. With what? No number was given, it will continue to be discussed, questioned, the journalists will keep asking the people at FC Bayern: ‘What does Mané have to pay for his shot?'” Matthäus criticized.

The TV expert continued: “Say it, then there is a point behind the topic and then it’s forgotten. It happened, it shouldn’t happen, but it has to be punished. Why don’t you say it?”

According to “Bild”, Mané’s penalty is in the mid-six-digit range.

Psyche of the stars of FC Bayern burdened?

Matthäus also doesn’t like the communication about the consequences for Manuel Neuer, who broke his lower leg while ski touring.

“Has he been punished or not? That also puts a strain on the team, the psyche,” the 62-year-old clarified and added: “These are all little things that come together and that’s why it’s a turbulent time on the Isar.”

Kahn recently avoided a penalty for Neuer. “We are in exchange and talking to each other. We’ll see. Much and nothing is possible,” he said on “Sky90” in early April.
