Contract ends in summer
Talent Taylor Booth leaves FC Bayern’s reserves in the summer. The 20-year-old right-back, who made his professional debut for Bayern Munich this season and was allowed to play 22 minutes in the first round of the DFB Cup, is moving to Dutch first division side FC Utrecht, with whom he has signed until 2025. Previously “sports1” and “De Telegraaf‘ reported on the forthcoming transfer. Since the American’s contract ends in the summer, he will say goodbye to the German record champions on a free transfer.
“With him we are bringing in a dynamic midfielder with great footballing ability. He’s a box-to-box player who acts with a lot of energy and therefore fits well into our system. We are proud that we were able to convince him to choose us,” said Technical Director Jordy Zuidam. Booth added, “It just feels like the perfect step for my development. The discussions with different people within the club convinced me, so I’m really looking forward to this adventure.”
In 2019, Booth first switched to FC Bayern’s U19s before being promoted to Bayern Munich’s reserves the following year, for which he played a total of 19 games, interrupted by a loan to St. Pölten.
