Currently parked in Klagenfurt
Austria Klagenfurt sees little chance of loan player Alex Timossi Andersson staying beyond the end of the season. The 21-year-old winger, who moved to Austria from the FC Bayern regional league team by the end of June 2021 and whose working paper there runs until the end of June, has attracted the interest of several Bundesliga clubs, according to sporting director Matthias Imhof.
“The Alex belongs to Bayern Munich. There is a lot of interest in him from the German Bundesliga. We’ll have a hard time keeping up with that,” said the former professional at TSV 1860 Munich.Sky Sports Austriaquoted. He did not give details. The Swede is part of coach Peter Pacult’s regular formation this season and is on the right wing. In 21 games to date he has contributed ten goals. The right winger’s contract on Säbener Straße runs until 2023.

As the “Kicker” recently reported, those responsible in Munich want to break new ground in terms of transfers and training in the future and deliberately develop young players like Timossi Andersson with foreign first division clubs. The path to becoming a training or sales association is also due to the financially difficult times caused by the corona pandemic. The salary costs for top players have risen to such an extent that FC Bayern does not have the necessary money for well-known newcomers.
Wanner at the top: FC Bayern’s youngest Bundesliga debutants
Whether the Swede could be a candidate for the pros after the end of the loan in the summer seems unrealistic given the great competition on the offensive wings for players like Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman or Leroy Sané. FCB talent Paul Wanner, who recently came into focus as part of his Bundesliga debut and the subsequent contract extension, can also fill the outside positions. However, it is just as unlikely that Timossi Andersson will move back to the second rank in Munich after his sportingly convincing station in Klagenfurt. Another loan, possibly after a previous contract extension, or a sale can be considered the most logical option in view of this situation – Bayern should not be short of potential buyers, also with a view to the Imhof statements.
In addition to keeper Ziyang Liu-Shao, who was only signed last December, Timossi Andersson is the second loan player that the record champions have parked at SKA. “FC Bayern is one of the top addresses in world football. It makes us very proud that those responsible in Munich rate the recent development of Austria Klagenfurt positively and entrust us with young players in whom they see great potential,” said Austria’s managing director Harald Gärtner.
