Bayern farewell after a year?
“I definitely hoped and expected that I would play more at Bayern Munich. So far it hasn’t worked out as expected,” Ryan Gravenberch told the portal.Ajax Showtime‘ at the beginning of the week. The Dutch midfielder didn’t rule out a departure next summer. Meanwhile, there seems to be interest from other top clubs. According to one “Picture”report, Liverpool FC has taken the first steps to implement a transfer.

A big upheaval is imminent in the summer when bottom of the table in the Premier League, not least the position in central midfield is one of the construction sites of the English champions of 2020. In the past, Borussia Dortmund’s Jew Bellingham was considered a predestined candidate for the long-term future at Anfield Road. According to consistent media reports, Liverpool has withdrawn from the race for the 19-year-old because the required transfer fee of 150 million euros is too high.
Gravenberch is the much cheaper option, but a transfer fee would also be due for the 20-year-old. Bayern paid €18.5m to Ajax Amsterdam last summer and handed the legal footer a contract until 2027. It is doubtful that the future belongs to the Dutchman in Munich’s central midfield, given only four appearances in the starting XI this season. If there is no prospect of more playing time in the summer, the pro himself would be open to a change: “Ideally, I would like to be successful at Bayern. But if that doesn’t work out and I don’t get any chances, then maybe I should look elsewhere.”
