FC Bayern has a “L’Equipe“Reported to contact PSG. The aim is to loan out ex-Leipziger Nordi Mukiele. Several other publications had previously written about their interest in the 26-year-old on Sunday. A report from Germany mentions an offer from the Munich-based company for a direct purchase.

Mukiele only played a brief role for PSG this season, but he is currently hardly dispensable as a versatile defender in Paris following the injuries to Milan Skriniar and Presnel Kimpembe and the absence of Achraf Hakimi during the Africa Cup of Nations. A transfer to Munich would only be possible if the French champions found a replacement in the position, according to a report from “RMC Sport“.
Only 4x over 10 million: All of FC Bayern’s winter signings
According to “L’Équipe”, PSG is also willing to grant Bayern a purchase option, which is likely to be quite difficult. No exact figures have been leaked, but the paper speculates, given a transfer fee of over 12 million euros paid to RB in 2022, that an option for the Munich team in the summer could be around twice as high.
Update, 5:26 p.m: Like the portal “Sports buzzer” reported later on Sunday that FC Bayern had made an offer to the French champions for Mukiele. Here, too, there is talk of 25 million euros, but contrary to the French information, this is probably the sum for an immediate purchase. Several French publications said that Parisians would not agree to such an amount.
Mukiele from PSG for a European Championship chance at FC Bayern?
The German record champions have been courting Mukiele intensively for weeks. The first connection between club and player dates back to 2021. At that time, FC Bayern is said to have expressed its interest in Leipzig. Instead, Mukiele played another good season with the “Red Bulls” and left the Saxons as one of the 15 most expensive sales in the club’s history to date.
Meanwhile, Mukiele still thinks he has a chance of getting a place in the squad at the 2024 European Championships in Germany, but with only one appearance for the French selection so far and a poor season at PSG, this is a long way off if he doesn’t make a significant difference – in Munich, for example operational time comes. A change doesn’t seem unlikely, provided PSG can find a suitable replacement, which is likely to be the greater difficulty in this regard. Mukiele’s contract in Paris runs until 2027.
Bayern are not currently commenting specifically on transfer speculation. “It is a fact that we are in contact with some players and are having some discussions,” said Bayern’s sporting director Christoph Freund in general, according to dpa.
