The French international was already on Munich’s list in 2016 before moving from Stade Rennes to BVB. The German record champions are said to have been on him in winter too, back then as a candidate to succeed Kingsley Coman (25), if he had decided to say goodbye. But Coman extended until 2027. Now, however, talks with Serge Gnabry (26) are stalling. The right winger, whose working paper expires in 2023, wants to advance financially to Coman and Leroy Sané (26), with whom he competes on the wing positions. According to reports, this would require doubling the current salary to around EUR 16 million.

The Catalans’ football director, Mateu Alemany, recently commented positively that Dembélé could be kept. But according to the French specialist newspaper, Bayern can hope to benefit from Barça’s economic difficulties. Accordingly, the Munich Dembélé should offer a four-year contract with a salary of around 18 million euros.
CEO Oliver Kahn, sports director Hasan Salihamidzic and coach Julian Nagelsmann should appreciate Dembélé’s qualities. His susceptibility to injury has also decreased significantly recently. After a knee injury at the beginning of the season, he showed stability from the end of November and contributed 13 assists and one goal in 20 games. As well as Bayern, Dembélé has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and PSG could also attack in the coming weeks should the 25-year-old not renew at Barça. It would be the first free transfer of his career.
