Can Uzun from 1. FC Nürnberg has made it onto the lists of numerous top clubs, with Borussia Dortmund in particular reportedly putting out feelers for the 18-year-old offensive man. FC Bayern is also interested. But BVB probably has the best cards. But how much would the Black and Yellows have to pay? And when could Uzun change? There are now answers to these questions.
There have been persistent rumors about the future of Can Uzun for months. Given his rapid development, it is hard to imagine that the 18-year-old, who can play both as a center forward and in attacking midfield, will stay at 1. FC Nürnberg beyond the season.
The teenager has already scored six goals in the 2nd Bundesliga and provided another. The youngster also scored three times and provided two assists in the DFB Cup. It is therefore hardly surprising that clubs like FC Bayern and Borussia Dortmund are already intensively interested in the Turk.
While the Munich team only inquired about Uzun, according to information from “Sky”, BVB appears to be serious about finding a long-term successor for Marco Reus. Because according to the TV station, concrete discussions are underway with the 18-year-old. The Black and Yellows are convinced of the attacker’s potential and believe he can achieve great things in the future, they say.
But when could Uzun, whose contract in Nuremberg runs until 2027, move to Dortmund? Apparently not yet in winter. “Sky” supports previous speculation that the club does not want to give up the top talent in the current transfer period. Instead, Uzun should help consolidate Nürnberg in the 2nd Bundesliga and lead them further up until the end of the season.
BVB would have to dig deep into their pockets for Uzun
Everything will be open in the summer. But Uzun will by no means be cheap. The FCN bosses are allegedly demanding over ten million euros. In the end, according to the TV station’s estimates, the transfer fee will probably level out at nine to ten million euros.
In addition to Dortmund and Munich, Eintracht Frankfurt from the Bundesliga is also considered interested. Outside of Germany’s Beletage, clubs from England and Turkey are also said to be courting Uzun.
