New developments in the transfer tug-of-war over Radu Dragusin. FC Bayern has apparently presented FC Genoa with an offer that beats out the competition.
As transfer journalists Fabrizio Romano and Gianluca Di Marzio report, FC Bayern has probably initiated a turnaround in poker around Radu Dragusin. Accordingly, the Bundesliga club has made an “acceptable offer” to the Italian club for the defensive player.
First Spurs, then Bayern: offers for Dragusin
According to media reports, Tottenham Hotspur and Genoa had already agreed on a deal. Spurs are willing to transfer 25 million euros to northern Italy. There are also possible bonus payments of up to five million euros. Dragusin’s contract is scheduled to run until 2029. But the transfer wasn’t quite complete yet.
And so Bayern may now finally intervene with their offer. According to Fabrizio Romano, FCB’s offer should be slightly higher than Tottenham’s. The player side probably has the final say.
Will Dragusin solve FC Bayern’s defensive problem?
Bayern sports director Christoph Freund is said to be convinced by the central defender. Bayern want to significantly strengthen their defense in the winter transfer window. The chances of a deal with the professional are apparently not bad. “Sportitalia” wrote on Wednesday that the Romanian was considering a move to FC Bayern.
Meanwhile, 20 percent of the transfer fee should go to Juventus Turin, who secured a resale bonus for Dragusin in the summer of 2022. The 1.91 meter giant made his Serie A debut as a teenager in the Juventus jersey before he then played on loan for Sampdoria Genoa and US Salernitana.
This season, Dragusin appeared 19 times in Serie A for FC Genoa, scoring two goals and setting up one.
