Without perspective under Nagelsmann
After the failed move to MLS club Los Angeles FC, FC Bayern has apparently found a new buyer for midfielder Adrian Fein: As reported by the “Bild” newspaper and the Dutch portal “Voetbal Internationalreport, the currently third-placed Eredivisie promoted Excelsior Rotterdam is examining the possibility of a transfer for the 23-year-old, whose contract in Munich expires next summer.
Fein had been loaned out by his home club five times in recent years (to SSV Jahn, HSV, PSV Eindhoven, Greuther Fürth and most recently Dynamo Dresden) and no longer plays a role in coach Julian Nagelsmann’s plans. Everyone involved is looking for a quick solution, as was recently heard from those around the record champions. In the Rotterdam squad, Fein would be the most valuable player with his current market value. According to “VI”, the sticking point in the negotiations with Excelsior should be the salary of the five-time U21 international.

The physical fitness of the midfielder will also be examined closely, as Fein only accumulated 75 minutes of playing time during his loan to Fürth in the first half of the 2021/22 season and did not play for Dresden in the second half of the season. Possible scenarios of a loan would also be examined, according to the Netherlands.
Rotterdam could become Fein’s second stop in the Eredivisie after spending a loan spell at PSV Eindhoven between October 2020 and June 2021. In 18 games he was involved in four goals, but played only two games over the full distance and did not get beyond the status of a substitute player.
