Not only on the coaching bench, a lot is changing at FC Bayern. There are also one or the other innovation in the squad.
FC Bayern continues to drive squad planning and reports an international new addition. Vanessa Gilles comes to Munich from the French top club Olympique Lyon and signs a contract with the German champions until June 30, 2028.
The 29-year-old has been part of the Canadian national team for years. In 2021 she won Olympic gold in Tokyo with the team. Gilles explained: “Everyone knows Munich, everyone knows the history of this great club. I look forward to working with a team that has stood for high ambitions for years. This also corresponds to their personal goals – nationally as in the Champions League.
FC Bayern is also the joy of the transfer. The sporting director of the Francisco de Sá Fardilha club praised: “She is one of the best central defenders in the world when it comes to duel management and defensive behavior in the penalty area.”
It was only on Monday that the Munich women announced another transfer with the commitment of the Danish international Stine Ballisager from AC Florence.
