FC Bayern: Goretzka complained about reporting – defused criticism

Desire for less exaggeration

Leon Goretzka sees some FC Bayern Munich professionals badly treated in public reporting. “Players are completely destroyed in the media. It certainly doesn’t help,” said Goretzka after FC Bayern’s 2-0 win against Hertha BSC and the return to the top of the Bundesliga table. “We’ll give the answers on the pitch – otherwise there’s no point anyway.”

You’ve been there long enough to know that’s part of it, said the 28-year-old midfielder. “We have to give our tasks and answers on the pitch.” Asked whether he was also referring to the criticism, Goretzka said: “One or the other has gotten a little more in the last few weeks.”

Update 6:23 p.m.: Via “Picture” Goretzka defused his criticism on Sunday evening and made it clear: “My statement yesterday after the game was undifferentiated and not correct.” Emotion and anger after the game would also grab him. “It would be nice if we exaggerated a little less with everything – both positively and negatively,” the professional hopes for less black-and-white painting.

Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic did not specifically respond to the criticism in the media when asked, but emphasized his positive attitude towards the professionals. “I believe in all our players. The boys have our full support,” said the 46-year-old. He has “trust” in everyone.

Goretzka criticism: Community discusses and doubts the player – “I’m stunned”

In the meantime, Goretzka’s initiative is not exactly well received in the TM community. The longtime TM user and Bayern fan sascha68 writes: “To be honest, I’m stunned. The players and especially Goretzka feel like we have the greatest oasis of well-being ever. Now he’s crying that he’s getting a little criticism.”

Meanwhile, numerous voices in the discussion question the necessary quality of Goretzka. “Replacing him with a suitable midfielder and getting a nine are the keys to the whole team playing better again,” he says Leviathan. And MrOneGameScout comments: “Meanwhile, there can no longer be two opinions: Goretzka has no place in the starting XI anymore. (Ryan) Gravenberch must be feeling stupid by now.”

The game has heralded its end for us. Disastrous again, out at the break, suspended, Gravenberch strong. …
