FC Bayern & goalkeeper Früchtl are planning transfer talks – farewell is imminent

Then maybe one day the better one will be in the Bayern goal,” said Christian Früchtl in the summer of 2020 in a TM interview about the goalkeeper situation at FC Bayern Munich with the then number two, Alexander Nübel (25), and the unassailable Manuel Neuer (35 ). A little over a year and a half later, it looks like both of them won’t get the opportunity in the near future. According to this, the Bavarians have planned “initial talks” with the 22-year-old and his entourage in the coming weeks with possible interested parties from Germany and abroad. Früchtl’s 27 appearances at professional level come from the third division season with the Munich reserve 2019/20. A loan to 1. FC Nürnberg the following year turned out to be a fiasco. Now the Bayern native wants to take the next step and play regularly.

A change had already failed last summer when Früchtl broke his collarbone. According to the broadcaster, “two second division clubs with promotion ambitions” had previously shown interest. Instead, the contract was extended to 2023. Should the goalkeeper leave in the summer, there would be internal replacements for number three in the form of Johannes Schenk (19) and Lukas Schneller (20).
