FC Bayern: FCB boss Hainer exclusively: “We are not relaxed”

FC Bayern is currently going through difficult weeks. In an interview with t-online, Herbert Hainer reveals his view of the situation – and also talks about the rumored unrest between coach Tuchel and his players.

Bayern President Herbert Hainer commented on the tense situation at FC Bayern on t-online. “I’m very confident because the team knows exactly where they stand, that they’re not putting what they’re capable of on the field at the moment,” said Hainer, with a view to the record champions’ important away game at VfL Bochum (from 5:30 p.m. in the live ticker at t-online). “We have an incredible number of good individual players. We’ve proven that often enough. They also know that it’s very, very important today. I’m looking forward to it starting right away.”

After Bayern’s two defeats in the Bundesliga top game at Bayer Leverkusen (0:3) and in the Champions League at Lazio Rome (0:1), there was already some talk of a final for coach Thomas Tuchel. When asked how he assessed the situation and whether he was still calm about it, Hainer answered clearly: “So we’re not relaxed if we lose twice in a row. Then that at least makes us aware. But we don’t want to dramatize it now. ” And further: “We got 50 points (in the Bundesliga; editor), more than in any other season at this point. We know that we can play better and now we have to bring that to the pitch. “

Regarding the reports about alleged inconsistencies between Tuchel and the team, Hainer said: “There is a lot of argument from outside and rumors are being raised. At the end of the day, we have to win. Then the issue will be settled.”

Hainer was not with Bayern in Bochum on Sunday, but instead watched the Bayern basketball team’s cup final victory in Munich against Ulm (81:65). “The footballers can now take an example from the basketball players, who have won the cup twice in a row,” said Hainer: “Of course we would also like to go to Berlin again.”
