“Nice vote of confidence”
Josip Stanisic has been with FC Bayern since the U17s, established himself in the Munich squad last year and can now look forward to a contract extension. “He’s versatile, he performs well when he’s needed. His reliability helps our coach and the team,” said sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic, explaining the new working paper for the 22-year-old right-back, which is valid until 2026.
“This premature contract extension is a nice vote of confidence from FC Bayern, which I would like to repay and which motivates me a lot for my further development,” explained Stanisic, who is the third most valuable professional in the record champions’ current squad to have been trained as a junior at FC Bayern . There are currently nine ex-Bayern juniors worldwide with a higher market value. The Croatian international is in second place in the ranking of players born in Munich.

Stanisic has played 29 competitive games for FC Bayern so far. This season, the minutes played in the Champions League are the most important. In the Bundesliga, on the other hand, the workload is down compared to the first half of the previous season. With the Croatian national team, the former 1860 youth player can show himself at the upcoming World Cup.
