FC Bayern: England club gets into poker for Nübel

In poker for Alexander Nübel from FC Bayern, VfB Stuttgart is apparently facing well-funded competition. Premier League relegated Leeds United are said to be courting the goalkeeper.

This was reported by the “Bild” newspaper. Accordingly, there are currently two options for Nübel: VfB Stuttgart or Leeds United.

While the Bundesliga club probably only wants to loan the 26-year-old goalkeeper, the English club is aiming for a permanent commitment. The Peacocks would thus accommodate FC Bayern, which according to media reports should prefer a sale.

At Leeds United, Nübel would meet Daniel Farke. The former Borussia Mönchengladbach coach signed a four-year contract with the English second division club after his unsuccessful Bundesliga interlude.

After his two-year loan to AS Monaco, Nübel recently returned to Bayern Munich. His contract at Säbener Straße runs until 2026.

The ex-Schalke player probably doesn’t have a future in Munich. “We have always said that it makes no sense for Alex to come back to Bayern as long as Manuel Neuer is still there. He is fit again now,” said Nübel’s advisor Stefan Backs to “t-online” a few weeks ago.

Does the Nübel change to VfB Stuttgart fail?

With regard to the transfer, it is expected that Bayern will sell its goalkeeper for just under eight million euros, but will secure a buyback option in order to be able to bring Nübel back to Munich in the event of a strong development.

According to “kicker”, only a loan is possible for VfB Stuttgart, who was last seen as a favourite. After all, the Swabians have to pay attention to finances. On the other hand, the club thinks highly of young hope Dennis Seimen. The 17-year-old is apparently seen as the future number one at VfB Stuttgart.
