FC Bayern: Deputy boss Dreesen leaves in 2023 – Diederich becomes Kahn’s deputy

“At his own request”

Jan-Christian Dreesen is stepping down as Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee of FC Bayern Munich’s AG headed by Oliver Kahn when his contract expires next summer. His successor in both positions will be the previous member of the Supervisory Board, Dr. Michael Diederich, who will work with Dreesen on the Executive Board on the transfer of business from April 1, 2023. Dreesen informed the eV President and Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Herbert Hainer, that he did not want to extend his contract, the Munich team announced on Thursday.

Hainer said of Dreesen: “On behalf of the entire FC Bayern, I would like to thank Jan-Christian Dreesen very much for his outstanding commitment and his great achievements for FC Bayern. In his almost ten years as Chief Financial Officer and Deputy CEO, FC Bayern has won the German championship ten times and twice won the legendary triple of Champions League, championship and DFB Cup. FC Bayern made profits year after year, even in times of the corona pandemic, which is also due to Jan-Christian Dreesen in particular.”
