FC Bayern goes into the game against Leverkusen as the heavy favorites. The league leaders struggled, but won clearly in the end. However, they benefited from a wrong decision.
The FC Bayern Munich footballers have extended their lead in the Bundesliga again. At Bayer Leverkusen, the Munich team won a hard-fought game 3-0 (1-0). Franziska Kett gave Bayern the lead in the 16th minute with a long-range shot. As a result, the league leaders found it difficult. Pernille Harder missed a penalty in the 26th minute and Leverkusen had a few chances, none of which they took advantage of.
In the second half, an unwarranted penalty whistle brought the decision: Harder was hit, but just outside the penalty area. Since there was no VAR, the incorrect penalty decision remained. Momoko Tanikawa made it 2-0 (75th). Ten minutes later things got even worse for Leverkusen. A handball brought Bayern the next penalty, which Georgia Stanway converted to make the final score.
With the win, Bayern now lead the table with 40 points, six points ahead of VfL Wolfsburg. Leverkusen is still seventh with 22 points.
90th minute +5: Leverkusen tried their luck again with attacks, but Bayern didn’t let anything go wrong and defended everything. Wamser prevents a counterattack with a foul and sees yellow again. The free kick flies into nowhere and then it’s over. Bayern wins 3-0!
90th minute +4: Leverkusen gets two corners in a row, but then Mahmutovic can grab it.
90th minute + 2: FC Bayern is now managing the game and letting the ball run.
90th minute: In fact, she needs to be supported when leaving the place. There is five minutes of added time
88th minute: Now there is another injury break here. Naschenweng twisted his ankle in a duel, remained injured and had to be treated. This could well be something more serious.
85th minute: The game was just about to fall asleep when the next penalty was awarded to Bayern. Dallmann tries a cross, but it ends up in Mickenhagen’s hand. This penalty is justified. Stanway steps up and also converts safely. It’s 3-0.
80th minute: Just another change. This time it’s Leverkusen again. Mickenhagen comes for Kramer.
79th minute: Bayern are also making two changes now. Alara comes in for Damnjanovic and Gilles for Eriksson.
76th minute: Leverkusen coach Pätzold complained too much about the penalty whistle and sees yellow. This is particularly bitter because he is right. By the way, Leverkusen made two substitutions before the penalty was taken. Mädl came for Kehrer and Grant for Piljic.
75th minute: This time Tanikawa steps up and does better than Hader. She definitely hits the ball into the top left corner. 2-0 for Bayern!
