FC Bayern loaned out several talents in the summer, some with a purchase option. A decision is now said to have been made about the future of a young Munich player.
The Italian newcomer Frosinone Calcio wants to sign Arijon Ibrahimovic after the current season. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano found out about this and spread it via the short message service X, formerly Twitter.
The midfielder, just 17 years old, moved to Frosinone on loan on the last day of the transfer window in order to get more match practice. Ibrahimovic has been playing for FC Bayern since 2018 and only extended his contract until 2025 in January.
As it now turns out, the Italian first division club was guaranteed a purchase option. Frosinone can sign the midfielder permanently for 3.5 million euros, according to Romano.
FC Bayern is said to have secured a buyback clause
Nevertheless, FC Bayern is said to have included clauses in the contract: thanks to two buyback clauses, the German record champions could once again tie the youngster to them. If the Munich team brings Ibrahimovic back in the course of 2024, eleven million euros will be due. If Bayern strike a year later, the transfer fee will rise to at least 15 million euros.
Sums that probably also reflect Ibrahimovic’s steadily increasing market value. In February he made his professional debut in the Bundesliga under current national coach Julian Nagelsmann when he came on as a substitute in the final phase of the 3-0 win against VfL Bochum. Afterwards, the youngster only played in the U19 and regional league teams in Munich.
The attacking midfielder would probably have played most of the time in FC Bayern’s second team this season had those responsible not accepted the loan offer from Italy on deadline day. Ibrahimovic immediately impressed at Frosinone: he scored a goal in both the cup and the league.
