FC Bayern before their third winter transfer!

Two new defensive players are already there in Eric Dier and Sacha Boey, and now FC Bayern should also have a new signing for the offensive: According to consistent media reports, the very young Swede Jonah Kusi-Asare is about to move to the German record champions.

Around a year ago there were first rumors about a transfer of the storm talent to FC Bayern. The speculation was no coincidence, after all, Jonah Kusi-Asare completed two trial training sessions in Munich in 2022. Now the Bundesliga club is probably getting down to business.

As the Swedish newspaper “Expressen” revealed, Bayern have agreed with AIK Solna on the immediate transfer of the 16-year-old. Accordingly, around 5.3 million euros will flow to Scandinavia as a transfer fee. “Sky” wants to know a base sum of 4.5 million euros and bonuses of over two million euros.

Kusi-Asare is scheduled to travel to Munich this week to sign a long-term contract. The teenager will initially gain match practice in the U19 Bundesliga team and in the second team that plays in the regional league. However, he can train in Thomas Tuchel’s star ensemble.

Jonah Kusi-Asare is the son of Jones Kusi-Asare, who was also a former striker. The 1.96 meter giant is considered lanky and yet technically strong, fast and robust. Within Bayern he is said to be compared to Joshua Zirkzee.

Friend wanted to bring Kusi-Asare to FC Bayern

According to “Sky” information, the designated new signing was a dream player of Christoph Freund, who has been the sports director at Säbener Straße since last September.

The Austrian had previously made a name for himself as a talent expert at RB Salzburg. Freund should do his part to ensure that the young talents from the FC Bayern Campus make the jump to the professionals more often in the future.

A new candidate was apparently found in Kusi-Asare.
