FC Bayern are apparently serious about Stuttgart striker Guirassy

FC Bayern have been rumored to be interested in VfB striker Serhou Guirassy for some time now – and this is now blazing really hot. Apparently the (still) Stuttgart resident just has to give his go – but that depends on one question.

As “Sport Bild” reports, those responsible at Bayern agree to make an advance on the Guirassy matter. The VfB management therefore knows about it.

There is an exit clause in Guirassy’s contract, according to which he can leave the Swabians in the summer for a transfer fee of around 20 million euros. His market value is currently estimated by “transfermarkt.de” at 40 million euros. The transfer fee would be a bargain for Bayern – with Guirassy they would have a top man in their back pocket should Harry Kane get injured and be out.

The 27-year-old striker from Guinea has scored 17 goals in 15 league games this season. In addition to Bayern, European football heavyweights such as Manchester United and AC Milan are also said to have put out feelers to Guirassy.

Bayern have now apparently officially thrown their hat into the ring.

VfB Stuttgart: Guirassy the Swabian goal insurance

The ball would then be in Guirassy’s court. Does he really want to play in Munich, where superstar Kane is the number 9 forward? There would only be one spot available for Guirassy in the Bayern team if Tuchel switched to his favored 3-5-2 system. At the moment, the Munich team mostly plays in a 4-3-2-1 with only one striker – Kane, of course.

Guirassy has been playing in the country since 2022. He initially came on loan from Ligue 1 club Stade Rennes, then VfB signed Guirassy permanently in the summer of 2023 – and that paid off. In the current Bundesliga season he scored a goal with each of his first eight shots on goal. He also set a Bundesliga record with 14 goals in the first eight games.
