Nick Woltemade is actually considered the desired player of FC Bayern. But whether the striker is moving to Munich this summer is currently unclear.
In the advertisement around Nick Woltemade, FC Bayern reported that it has been withdrawing for the time being. The Munich club is reportedly not available for another offer for the top scorer of the U21 European Championship-at least not at short notice.
According to “evening newspaper”, Bayern informed the player about their decision. Accordingly, there should be understanding of the restraint. The 23-year-old striker is expected on Monday in the training camp of VfB Stuttgart on Lake Tegernsee-in Rottach-Egern, where FC Bayern regularly completed its season preparation.
According to media reports, the record champions had previously submitted two written offers. An agreement with the player himself should already be available. However, there are still significant differences between the two clubs.
Woltemades consultant Danny Bachmann had recently made a clear statement. An offer of 55 million euros did not even have a personal conversation, he told the German Press Agency. This asks the question of what VfB actually thinks is exceptional. “It wasn’t foreseeable,” said Bachmann.
Most recently, there had been speculation about an offer of 50 million euros plus five million euros in bonus payments. The first attempt was said to have been 40 million euros plus bonuses. VfB has so far been adamant.
Woltemade is under contract with the Europa League participant until 2028. The attacker had come from Werder Bremen last summer and celebrated his debut in the A national team in early June. With the U21 he reached the European Championship final against England. Shortly before the final, his desire to change had become public.
The transfer from Luis Diaz from FC Liverpool to Munich is also open. Supposedly, the chances of an obligation of the 28-year-old are currently better than in Woltemade. The transfer would amount to around 70 million euros.
