A year ago, FC Bayern brought Omar Richards to Munich on a free transfer. Now the full-back is leaving the record champions again.
Bayern Munich have confirmed Omar Richards’ move to Nottingham Forest. The 24-year-old only played for one year for coach Julian Nagelsmann’s team and could not recommend himself in the long term. According to media reports from England, the fee for Richards should be around 8.5 million euros plus bonus payments. The left-back has signed a four-year contract with the newly promoted Premier League.
Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said goodbye to the protégé on Sunday: “It was Omar’s wish that we enable him to move to Nottingham Forest. He sees the opportunity to become a regular in his home country at a Premier League club. Nottingham gets A very good player and a wonderful boy who will make his way. We wish him all the best.”
