Dietmar Hamann’s private feud with Thomas Tuchel continues: On Sunday, the ex-national player again criticized the FC Bayern coach.
After an 8-0 win, most Bundesliga teams would be all sunshine and roses, but in Munich the secondary theaters of war are still in the foreground.
Coach Thomas Tuchel and TV expert Dietmar Hamann have had a verbal exchange of blows over the last few days, which has now moved on to the next round.
On “Sky90” Hamann said about the liaison between Tuchel and FC Bayern: “It will no longer be a love affair. It’s an alliance of convenience.”
Hamann on FC Bayern: “The football is not good”
Despite the eight-goal gala against Darmstadt 98, Hamann is not convinced by the record champions’ performances.
“To put it bluntly: there was little they could do to become champions. This season the results are good, but the football is not good. When I look at the first half in Istanbul – it was subterranean. Yesterday the first half: Bayern with 216 Passes, Darmstadt 243,” the 50-year-old noted critically.
Hamann added: “If they play against a better opponent, then they are 0-2 or 0-3 behind. That should have been the case in Istanbul. They were very lucky there.”
FC Bayern: Joshua Kimmich “the walking uncertainty”
According to Hamann, a prime example of the undesirable development at FC Bayern is Joshua Kimmich, who was sent off early with a red card after an emergency stop against Darmstadt.
“When I see Kimmich – I almost feel sorry for the boy. It was a technical error, but also a mistake in thinking. He is a walking insecurity,” said Hamann about the DFB star.
A possible cause for the dropout was the constant back and forth over the past few months. “Even if the player isn’t my greatest friend, I still have to know how important he is. The boy has now been dismantled in eight months,” said Hamann, alluding to the debate about a “Holding Six” at Bayern.
