Medical check on Friday?
FC Bayern is getting serious: In the search for a new right-back, the focus is now on Sacha Boey from Galatasaray. As several media outlets consistently report, concrete negotiations regarding a winter transfer are taking place between the German record champions and the Istanbul club. Like, among other things, the TV station “Sky“ reports, the 23-year-old is (again) a hot topic among the people of Munich. The Bundesliga runner-up is pushing for a commitment. A transfer fee of around 20 million euros is being discussed.
Update 8:57 p.m.: “We will not sell Boey for the figures mentioned in the media,” Galatasaray Vice President Erden Timur told the Turkish journalist Nevzat Dindar.
Update 9:22 p.m.: According to the “Bild” reporter Christian Falk Boey is expected in Munich on Friday for medical tests.

On Wednesday, Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund announced that Kieran Trippier’s commitment had been completed. Newcastle United are said to have rejected an offer of around 15 million euros for the 33-year-old England international. The actual plan A, Nordi Mukiele (26) from Paris Saint-Germain, also seems a long way off at the moment.

That’s why Boey could solve the record champions’ defensive personnel problems. The Frenchman is still known to Bayern from the Champions League. With Galatasaray he lost twice against FCB in the group stage. According to reports, there is already agreement between Boey and the Munich team that the player has been open to a change for two weeks.
“Sky” recently wrote that Galatasaray was demanding a transfer fee of 20 million to 25 million euros and that only a direct sale was conceivable. This would make Boey the Lions’ record departure. However, Bayern are aiming for a loan transfer with an option to buy, which is why Mukiele’s commitment is more likely, it was initially said. The tide has now turned.
FC Bayern wants Galatasaray’s Sacha Boey: most valuable Süper Lig professional
The 23-year-old Boey still has a contract with the Süper Lig club until June 2025, and the Frenchman has steadily increased his market value in recent years to 22 million euros – his highest value to date. No professional in the Galatasaray squad is valued higher, the attackers Mauro Icardi (30) and Tetê (23) follow with 20 million euros. And anyway: Boey also took the lead league-wide with the last market value update. The right-footed player made 29 appearances across all competitions this season (no goal, two assists). In the premier class, the long-running favorite was able to impress in the group stage against Bayern.
