FC Bayern and Co. collect UEFA compensation payments

The Bundesliga clubs around FC Bayern Munich can again count on compensation payments from UEFA for the secondment of their professionals to the national teams.

As announced by the Continental Football Association, 140 million euros will be paid out to the clubs for the 2024 European Championship finals in Germany alone, which is ten million euros more than after the finals last summer. A further 100 million euros have been calculated for deployments to Nations League games in June and September and the following EM qualifiers in 2023.

In the last cycle, German clubs received a total of 27.787 million euros from UEFA. The front runner with the most releases was record champions FC Bayern Munich, who received 3.746 million euros for this.

But also amateur clubs like FK Pirmasens (34,619 euros) or SV Pullach (45,075 euros) were served from the UEFA coffers for the secondment of players.

In total, only clubs from England, primarily from the Premier League, received higher compensation payments than German clubs, at EUR 47.01 million.
