Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting CP is currently on everyone’s lips in the transfer market. After the attacker was last traded at BVB, the name of FC Bayern is now being mentioned. But the Swedish international would by no means be cheap.
According to media reports, Gyökeres has an exit clause of 100 million euros at the Portuguese top club. The 25-year-old only moved from Coventry City to Sporting CP in the summer for around 20 million euros. The goalscorer has now made a name for himself thanks to his strong performances.
As the Spanish portal “fichajes.net” has learned, FC Bayern and Juventus Turin are closely following the Scandinavian’s development.
The Portuguese newspaper “Record” recently reported that Borussia Dortmund was closely monitoring the whiz kid. A BVB scout is said to have been among the spectators at almost all of Sporting CP’s home games. Sevilla FC probably also has Gyökeres on their list.
The 17-time national player still has a long-term working paper in Lisbon until 2028. If one of the clubs mentioned wanted to do so first, the rumored 100 million euros would probably be due.
A move to FC Bayern or BVB is rather unrealistic
Both FC Bayern and BVB are currently well positioned in the center forward position. The Munich team has Harry Kane, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Mathys Tel in their own ranks. Borussia Dortmund can rely on Niclas Füllkrug, Sébastien Haller and Youssoufa Moukoko.
It therefore seems rather unlikely that Gyökeres would end up in the Bundesliga in a timely manner. If the Swede continues his strong performances at Sporting CP, his name is likely to come up on the transfer market even more often in the coming months.
