At FC Bayern there was great joy about the furious 4-0 win against BVB on Saturday evening. In the exuberance of emotions, coach Thomas Tuchel apparently almost stayed in Dortmund.
Because as “Bild” writes, the record champions’ bus set off in the evening almost without the trainer. After the final whistle, the Munich team apparently wanted to quickly return home. In the heat of the moment, no one checked whether all the seats were actually occupied.
According to “Bild”, the team bus rolled about 20 meters towards the stadium exit before the head coach was missing. The colossus drove backwards back to the entrance to the cabin track. About three minutes later, Tuchel got on and the journey back to Munich could begin.
The Bayern coach had previously made headlines with a memorable TV appearance. Tuchel used the brilliant victory at BVB to deal with his worst critics. As before, he focused primarily on the two “Sky” experts Lothar Matthäus and Dietmar Hamann.
FC Bayern shows BVB the limits
“Should I quote Didi and Lothar? For no further development and a poor internal relationship between coach and team, it looked okay,” the 50-year-old teased at the press conference.
The former Dortmund player was also confrontational on the “Sky” microphone.
Matthäus and Hamann had expressed some clear criticism of Bayern in the past few weeks. After the cup exit against 1. FC Saarbrücken, the tone became significantly sharper.
The experts concluded that the Munich game had not developed further under Tuchel. At the matchday press conference on Friday, Tuchel responded to the criticism with an ironic comment.
