Mané assumes whereabouts
Goalkeeper Alexander Nübel forces his final farewell to FC Bayern. “We’ve always said that it doesn’t make sense for Alex to come back to Bayern as long as Manuel Neuer is still there. He’s fit again now,” Nübel’s adviser Stefan Backs told the portal.t-online.de“. After two years at AS Monaco, the 26-year-old should actually be back on duty with the German record champions, but doesn’t want to queue up behind the captain. “That’s why I’m looking for a new club for Alex – and one that will take him as far as possible,” says advisor Backs.
Possible goals are the Premier League or a top international club. “Criterion number one is that he has to play, criterion number two is the highest possible level of play,” explained Backs. A change to another Bundesliga club, on the other hand, is rather unlikely, reports “t-online.de”.

Nübel moved to Munich from FC Schalke 04 on a free transfer in 2020. But he was only left with the role of substitute behind national goalkeeper Neuer. That’s why he had been loaned to Monaco and was a regular there. His contract with Bayern runs until mid-2025. Should he leave the series champion, a buyback clause is said to be under discussion. According to Backs, this is “an appreciation of Bayern Munich. A sign that they still believe in him.”

At FC Bayern, Neuer is expected to make a comeback in preparation for the new season. The 37-year-old suffered a broken leg in a skiing accident after the World Cup and was out for six months. As a replacement, Munich brought Yann Sommer (34) from Gladbach for 9 million euros, whose future beyond the summer is also open.
Unlike Nübel: Mané is planning his future at Bayern
In contrast to Nübel, attacker Sadio Mané also wants to play at Bayern in the coming season. “Yes, God willing,” the 31-year-old replied on the Senegalese TV station “2sTV‘ to the question of whether he would stay with the record champions. “If all goes well, I will return.”
Mané is currently on vacation in his Senegalese homeland. “I’m fine, I’m with my family, I’m resting,” he explained. Mané moved from Liverpool to Munich for €32m last summer, but has not yet been able to meet the expectations placed in him there and was recently no longer a regular. He scored twelve goals in 38 competitive games. “It was difficult, a complicated season,” Mané summed up.

The low point of his debut season in Munich was the incident with Leroy Sané (27) in the Champions League quarter-finals against Manchester City: Mané hit his team-mate in the face at the time. “There are such incidents, it’s over and settled, it’s behind us,” emphasized the captain of the Senegalese national team. “We will try to fight together to help the club achieve its goals in the coming season.” Despite other offers, if everything goes well, he will stay at Bayern. Mané’s contract runs until 2025.
