Martina Voss-Tecklenburg has appeared less on television recently. However, she can be seen on Saturday as part of the top game between Leverkusen and Bayern.
Since her departure from the DFB, things have become quieter around former national coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg. At the end of last year, the 56-year-old made her panic attacks public and subsequently became less public. Now it will be shown on Saturday on the Sky TV channel as part of the top game between Bayer Leverkusen and FC Bayern.
From 6:15 p.m. the station will broadcast the game in the Tactical Feed on Sky Sport Bundesliga 3. Jan Henkel, Voss-Tecklenburg and former Cologne coach Peter Stöger will coach the game in “Matchplan Live”.
Voss-Tecklenburg takes Leverkusen’s side
“You will show the spectators the game through the eyes of a coach. What do they pay attention to? What would they give their team in the respective situation? Martina Voss-Tecklenburg takes the perspective of the Leverkusen side, Peter Stöger that of Bavaria.”
The former national coach also wrote on her Instagram account: “I’m happy to be there and of course even more so if you tune in.” In the comments, many of her followers were happy with Voss-Tecklenburg about the new task.
At the end of last year, Voss-Tecklenburg reported on her difficult situation before the Women’s World Cup in the summer of 2023. At that time she was already “not feeling well”, as she described in a ZDF interview. With the DFB women, she was eliminated from the tournament in the group phase.
Voss-Tecklenburg: “Completely collapsed”
The former national coach explained that back in Germany she “completely collapsed” during a conversation with her husband. “I noticed: my head is empty, I’m just crying, I’m not able to think constructively,” said Voss-Tecklenburg at the time. She now seems to be on the mend.
It was only at the beginning of February that Fortuna Düsseldorf announced that the former national coach would remain on the club’s supervisory board. The decision was made unanimously.
