“Heated Mood”
Twice red and still won: FC Barcelona was undamaged in a wild game in Pamplona. The Catalans celebrated 2-1 (0-1) at CA Osasuna on Tuesday night thanks to goals from Pedri (48) shortly after the break and Raphinha in the 85th minute – he had been substituted on just seven minutes earlier. The hosts, for their part, took the lead in the sixth minute through David García.
Shortly thereafter, Robert Lewandowski saw the yellow card for a jersey pluck, after a good half hour the former FC Bayern professional had to leave the field. The world footballer jumped into an opposing player and probably hit him with his elbow – yellow-red for Lewandowski.
During the break, Gerard Piqué, who had sat on the bench, quarreled with the referee in his very last game for FC Barcelona because of the goal conceded – obviously using the wrong choice of words: the 35-year-old was given the to say goodbye to the football stage Red card. After the game, coach Xavi (quoted via “barcawelt.de”): “I wanted to bring him, but in the end he got red at half-time. That was the result of the heated atmosphere at the moment, we were disadvantaged again and not only Gerard reacted that way, all of us.
