FC Barcelona turns deficit against FC Elche: Ferran Torres scores

FC Barcelona stays on track in the Spanish LaLiga. The Catalans prevailed 2-1 (0-1) at FC Elche on Sunday. Ferran Torres (60th minute) and Memphis Depay (84th/penalty) turned the game around after Fidel (44th) gave the hosts the lead at the Estadio Martínez Valero just before the break. Marc-André ter Stegen saved the win with a brilliant save in added time.

Barcelona remained unbeaten in their eleventh league game in a row and is one of the strongest teams in Europe. In the 2022 calendar year, no LaLiga club collected more points than the Blaugrana (20), who are now third in the table with 15 points behind leaders Real Madrid and have good chances again in the fight for the Champions League places.
