The Atlético striker spoke to El Larguero about the possibility of landing at the Camp Nou
“I went to talk to Allegri and he told me that I wouldn’t move from there, that he wanted me to play with Vlahovic”
The name of Alvaro Morata rang during the winter market last season to reinforce the new Barça from Xavi Hernandez. The player himself explains in El Larguero the possibility of joining the Camp Nou a few months ago.
“There were options to go to Barça”, says the striker, “I went to speak with Allegri and he told me that I would not move from there, that he wanted me to play with Vlahovic […] I also had four or five more offers, all very good, but in the end Atlético also had the last word.”
And he adds: “He called me Xavi and I talked to him about football. It is an honor that a coach and former player like Xavi take you into account”. Is his speech convincing? “And so much, and even more so when he is someone you have seen play since he was a child and you have seen him around here in Las Rozas”.
