Brazilian national soccer player Raphinha has signed a long-term contract with FC Barcelona. The working paper is valid until June 30, 2027, but the exit clause is particularly noteworthy. It is one billion euros, as the Catalans themselves announced on Friday.
The 25-year-old attacker joined FC Barcelona from Leeds United in the English Premier League. “I’m very grateful. Many of my heroes have made history here,” said Raphinha at his presentation on Friday at the Camp Nou: “I want to follow in their footsteps.” The transfer fee amounts to 55 million euros plus bonus payments.
