FC Barcelona: Dani Alves signs after leaving UNAM Pumas

After Barça farewell

Dani Alves has found a new club after leaving FC Barcelona. The Brazilian right-back signed a contract with Mexican club UNAM Pumas on Saturday. The university club from Mexico City is one of the four largest football clubs in the country.

“Life isn’t just about football,” said the 39-year-old in an interview with “TUDN“. “I always like to go where there are more important things than coming here. It’s more than football, it’s a university that gives everyone equal rights, a university that unites society, that shapes people, that makes me passionate, it drives me crazy because that’s what I talk about the most , because to have equality you have to be more diligent.”

Alves was without a club before his return to FC Barcelona in the winter, having previously had his contract with FC São Paulo terminated in September last year. The Brazil international, who also played for Juventus Turin and Paris Saint-Germain, wants to recommend himself to Mexico with regular playing time for the World Cup in Qatar at the end of the year.
