National soccer goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is still not available for FC Barcelona. After his early departure from the DFB team the week before last, the 31-year-old goalkeeper is also out of the Champions League game on Tuesday evening against FC Porto (9 p.m.) due to his back problems.
As in the league game on Saturday against Rayo Vallecano (1:1), ter Stegen will be replaced by Inaki Pena. It is the 24-year-old goalkeeper’s second appearance in the Champions League.
Barcelona and Porto are at the top of preliminary group H with nine points each.
Meanwhile, young star Gavi underwent successful surgery on his right knee on Tuesday.
The 19-year-old midfielder suffered a torn cruciate ligament on November 19th during the Spanish national team’s European Championship qualifier against Georgia (3-1), which was no longer relevant for sport.
